The SHARPI Splash and Go Sharpening Whetstone 100/ 3000 meeting the Japanese JIS 6001 standard, it requires no soaking just splash with water and begin sharpening knives, scissors, and tools immediately.
The 1000 grit side does the sharpening work, and the 3000 grit side polishes the edge to a genuinely sharp finish. Two stages, one stone, ready the moment it gets wet.
Two Grits. One Stone. No Soaking.
This is the step up from the single-grit Splash and Go. The 1000 grit side handles the main sharpening removing metal, rebuilding the bevel, and restoring a dull edge to working sharpness. Then flip the stone and use the 3000 grit side to refine and polish. The result is a noticeably sharper, cleaner edge than a single-grit stone can produce.
Like all Splash and Go whetstones, no soaking is required. A splash of water activates it. That matters when you're sharpening outside, where a bucket to soak your stone isn't exactly on hand. This is a proper whetstone that respects the outdoor environment it's designed for.

If you're serious about your blades, yes. The 3000 grit finish makes a real, noticeable difference in sharpness compared to a 1000-only stone
