Usage and Safety
- Read the instruction leaflet fully before use.
- For outdoor use only. Never use inside a tent, vehicle or other enclosed space: lack of oxygen and carbon monoxide can cause suffocation or poisoning.
- Connecting gas: make sure the flame control is fully closed (turned clockwise), then screw the cartridge on straight, keeping it upright. Check for gas leaks before lighting.
- Lighting: slowly turn the flame control anticlockwise to open the gas slightly, then press the ignition button. Adjust the flame to suit your cooking.
- Switching off: turn the flame control fully clockwise until the flame goes out. The flame may not go out immediately because of gas left in the hose.
- Liquid-feed use: never use a new, full cartridge in liquid-feed mode, as the pressure is too high. Use liquid feed only when a small amount (about a quarter) of gas remains, and only after the stove is sufficiently preheated.
- After liquid-feed use: turn the cartridge upright and keep the stove burning in gas mode for at least 10 seconds to burn off the liquid gas left in the hose. Disconnecting straight away can leave residue that clogs the nozzle and valve.
- Do not bend or kink the hose. A damaged hose can leak gas and cause fire, burns or explosion. Keep the hose and cartridge away from the flame.
- Do not use adapters, extension hoses or other parts that change how the cartridge connects.
- Do not use near heaters or other sources of fire, and keep children away.
- Never leave the stove unattended while lit. Before stepping away, switch it off and disconnect the cartridge.
- If you smell gas or notice anything unusual, stop using the stove and disconnect the cartridge immediately.
- The base gets hot: do not place the stove on heat-sensitive surfaces such as thin boards or newspaper.
- Let the stove cool completely before touching the burner area, disconnecting the cartridge or packing it in its case. Always store and transport the stove with the cartridge removed.
- Do not disassemble, repair or modify the stove, and do not use it if it appears damaged.
